Officially Tainted

It pains me really.  Below you will see proof I caught on camera of Nolan eating fried chicken and chow fun.  Who fed it to him?  His very own father.  Even now it’s difficult to comprehend.  BUT WAIT! To daddy’s credit he didn’t feed Nolan the fried outer layer of chicken- just the inside and then as you see here, letting him chew on the bone.  As much as I’d like to think that my son will never have sugar or grease, I know in reality it will happen sooner or later and Mr. Dad figures that as long as it’s only 1% of his total diet it can’t do him much harm.  He’s probably right.  Although I still eat handfuls of chocolate chips in front of Nolan and don’t give him any.  It’s okay for me to be tainted.

My Cute Sombrero Boy

July 12th, 2010 by Busy Mommy

I just love this picture!  What a cutey!  Nolan’s spf 50 sun hat (also comes in adult sizes) is a little too big right now because for $30 I wanted it to last him awhile.  When he’s in the ergo carrier on our hikes, he moves his head from side to side of course to take in all the scenery and usually that causes his hat to rub against my back and either flip up like a sombrero, or slides the hat so the back of it is in front.  Either way it usually ends up that the hat covers his eyes and I have to try to reach back there and make things right again.
