The three of us took a little trip to Berkeley for some quality family time.  When it comes to our family and what to do together a few things come into play.  Nolan likes being outside in the fresh air.  Enough times of him being cranky inside, taking him outside and him suddenly becoming happy proves that.  Ben likes being outside (previous sentence applies to hubby too- the proof is in the pudding- he just spent several hours doing necessary computer work and came out looking like a zombie and said how much he likes being outside most the time every day).  I like being outside.  Nolan likes looking at new things.  Ben and I like looking at plants.  I like things with lots of color.  Ben likes things that give him ideas for projects (especially garden projects).  I like taking pictures of flowers.  So…off to a couple of nurseries we went.  Nolan obviously had fun!

I found this video from Nolan when he was only 8 days old.  Didn’t seem really interesting at the time, but now, it’s so precious to watch  just how small and helpless he was.  Not that he’s ready to go out and face the world yet, but it’s amazing to see how quickly they change and grow.
