It’s not that Nolan doesn’t smile a lot- he does- it’s that it’s hard to catch on camera still.  He sees that camera and quick as a flash he gets that serious wide-eyed look.  As often as he sees that camera you’d think he’d smile at it like a 3rd parent, but I guess it looks nothing like Ben or I or anything even human.  In fact- here’s one of the best photos yet of that “wide-eyed-what-is-that-weird-thing-mom’s-holding?” look.  By the way Nolan is 3 months and a couple weeks or so now.

So I had a dream last night that Nolan said his first word and it was….salad.  I kid you not.  His first word was salad in my dream.  Must be all that Kale I’m eating lately is affecting the synaptic connections in my brain.

This is an example of Nolan just about every morning when we first get up while he’s getting a diaper change…he has so much to say!  Also- all these years you’ve heard Ben talking- now you’ll find out what his “real” voice sounds like…teehee.
