It’s so interesting to watch the dynamics of Nolan’s interactions with Ben and I. Nolan loves me and needs to be with me a lot, but he really ADMIRES his Dad. You can just tell the way that Nolan looks at his daddy, he just wants to be with him and wants to be like him. I’m so happy that Nolan has such a great father for Nolan to imitate. Nolan gets so excited when his Daddy comes home from work and then gets strapped into the carrier on Daddy’s back for a jaunt out to the garden. Nolan disappears out the garage door with a big grin on his face, so happy hanging with his Dad.

How can this be? Nolan was 7 months old yesterday. He’s got 4 big teeth, and dare I say lest you not believe me, 2 more that have just broken through! He is growing so fast! It’s touching how attached to both of us he has become. If you’ll notice in the picture he has one hand on my leg while he plays with the peapod. He doesn’t feel too comfortable playing by himself for too long yet- and much prefers if I’m just sitting there next to him so he can have one hand on me at all times or at least look at me while he’s playing. It’s too cute!

I wanted to share some photos that Wendy of Mirasol Photography took when Nolan was a mere 12 days old. Yeah- remember the poop story? Yeah, well, here are my darling son’s newborn photos. I actually researched Newborn photo poses before Nolan was born- there were all these darling photos of newborns in adorable poses , often involving cute props while being fast asleep . I was so excited and couldn’t wait to have my very own photos like this! A few days into Nolan’s life and I had a pretty good idea there would be likely be no sleeping photos, much less ones in poses where his limbs were placed in particular ways to make a cute photo.
But now I look at these photos and I love them! It really shows how much of a personality he has- he always had something to say, even when he was only minutes old. These are some of the most precious photos I own now.
